E - Navigation, March 5th - 6h 2009, BergenThe Nordic Institute of Navigation (NNF) arranged an e-Navigation Conference at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy in Bergen March 5th – 6th 2009. The conference was open to both civilian and military personnel, and had participants from 5 different countries. Presentations covered several issues spanning from overall e-nav architecture through technological development to experiences and concerns from experienced navigators of small high speed ferries operating in confined waters. There was no doubt that the conference theme was a success, and NNF will follow up this conference by making e-Navigation an annual theme in one of our two yearly conferences. We will also arrange an e-Nav session during the 13th IAIN World Congress and Exhibition held in Stockholm 27-30 October 2009. 2009-03-23
